Never Too Young Taskforce Interest Form 2026

Thank you for your interest in joining the Colorectal Cancer Alliance's Never Too Young Taskforce (N2Y) for the 2026-2027 term, beginning in March 2026 and concluding in February 2027.

N2Y is dedicated to raising awareness about the increasing rates of young-onset colorectal cancer (Y-O CRC)—defined as diagnoses occurring under the age of 50—while fostering a supportive, engaged community for those impacted by the disease. The Taskforce also serves as a bridge, connecting individuals affected by Y-O CRC to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance and its life-saving resources.

Members of the Never Too Young Taskforce commit to sharing their unique connection to Y-O CRC and actively engaging with the Y-O CRC community. Throughout the full term of service, this includes building meaningful relationships, supporting and participating in advocacy efforts to increase awareness of Y-O CRC, connecting individuals to Alliance programs and resources, facilitating extension of Alliance programs and materials into healthcare settings—helping providers better serve young-onset patients and caregivers, and taking part in group fundraising initiatives led by the Y-O CRC community.

Membership Expectations
As a member of the Never Too Young Taskforce, you will be asked to:
  • Advise and advocate: Share lived experience and insights to help the Colorectal Cancer Alliance better understand and address the needs of young-onset colorectal cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers.

  • Actively participate: Commit to a one-year term, attend quarterly Taskforce meetings and monthly subcommittee meetings, and engage consistently in discussions and activities.

  • Share your story to create impact: Use your personal experiences, voice, and connections to support awareness, strategy, and community engagement related to young-onset colorectal cancer.

  • Represent the Alliance responsibly: Maintain confidentiality, communicate professionally, and support the Alliance’s mission while understanding the Taskforce serves in an advisory—not decision-making—role.

  • Meet participation expectations: Provide advance notice if unable to attend meetings and understand that repeated non-attendance may result in removal from the Taskforce

Bylaws of the Never Too Young may be adopted, amended or repealed only by the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.  Recommendations for amendments in the Bylaws may be initiated by the Never Too Young Taskforce.
I attest that everything I have shared in this application is true. I understand that discovery of fraud in this application is grounds for immediate removal from the program. I also understand that, if selected, I will make a one-year commitment to be a volunteer representative for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, a voice for the young-onset colorectal cancer community, and will sign a media release agreement.

By typing my name below and submitting this form, I attest that I am over the age of eighteen, of sound mind, and have read, understood and agree to these terms.
